just received this in the yellowfish xmas greetings ...

..   We will be launching our brand new taxi platform app ALDA (Algarve Drivers Around) to make it easy and fast your local transport in and between resorts. ALDA will be available in the main resorts early 2017...

Received the same yesterday too. Also they are venturing into the quad bike and buggy excursions. Good luck to them in their new ventures.

I reckon if licensed for transfers they are ok for 'transfers' between old and new town but maybe they rightly think people just wait or call for a taxi, not realising they could use a transfer company who might have cars sitting around. Great idea.

But UBER is already active and available in and around Albufeira so if they were would they have a different name and web portal? Maybe this is pretty much the same but different, even more to annoy the current taxi cartel if it is!
Oh well, nothing like a bit of competition to level the playing field!
