Howdee, happy to report, car says 32, chemist says 31, my thermometer says 30.. pick what you fancy, any of those will do!
Not a cloud in the sky, a beautiful and very welcome mild breeze makes it all nice and comfortable. That breeze is coming from the South East which explains why planes into Faro today are coming in on an Easterly approach. The IPMA forecast is pretty much more of the same but a few degree's hotter towards the weekend, bring it on, comapred to what we left in the UK this morning, this is very, very welcome. It still amazes us that just two and a half hours on a plane takes you from wind, rain, grey overcast skies, single figure temperatures (that's July and August!!) to what we have here now.
Off for a bevvie, of the cold hoppie variety, just to cut the dust you understand!
Thumbs Up

Bit boring now... The weather is.... same as!
Not a cloud in the sky, full sunshine, pleasent breeze.
At 8.45 it was 24 degree's, IPMA forecast 32 for later which seems fairly realistic, the forecast for the weekend though is still 36 and 37 degree's on several sites, just be carefull out there if it proves to be the case, sunburn just isn't worth it.

Some info for you from Telma who runs, with her brother, the drapery shop in the 25th of April Avenue.
This summer is the hottest since they began keeping records and the sea temperature is 25 degree's, apparently that is rarely the case. I have to say, it was very pleasent yesterday.
Today we have just two of the constants, one, not a cloud in sight = clear blue skies, and two, the sun is beating down but, it's windy! Way more than a breeze, real constant wind.
I've checked two forecasts for today, one says 33 the other 34 so they must think this wind will fade because I can't see that sort of temp if it remains.
Currently, 8.45am, 22 degrees, so already a couple down on yesterday.
Dont get me wrong, it's all still very acceptable, just need to find my kite out now! LOL!

Well maybe the forecasters do know what they're on about!
The wind is now down to a light breeze, the temperature is up to, let's say, ridiculous!
Currently 36 degree's and I think it's not topped out yet, it is like a blast furnace.
We gave up driving the Moke, the heat of the air in your face was just unpleasent, the hire car with it's a/c wins the day, that's how hot it is!

Perhaps I should just say it's August, from that you'll be pretty confident what the weather is. Only real question is what number will it reach.
Today, the lightest of breeze, not a cloud, 21 degree's at 7.00am, no doubt 30 something later on, nothing else to add really.... Glorious!

Ditto!
Today? = Scorchio!
It's 26 degree's at 9.30am, be careful out there it's hot and getting hotter!
Nice light breeze, not a cloud but there is some haze way out to sea, let's hope the breeze remains.
Clearly going to be in the 30's later and 38 is forecast for Monday!

Its August, it's the Algarve, not much to add really.
27 degree's at 8.45am, sun, no cloud, intermittent breeze, no doubt 30 something later, bliss!

Yesterday afternoon I think the Mistral lost it's sense of direction and popped down here! For about four hours we had a right hoolie, blowing brollies over etc. Went as quickly as it came.
Today, same as again, light breeze now, not a cloud to be seen, sun shining and warming, 27 degree's already at 9.30 and IPMA say 37 later. Bliss.

6.40pm, not a bit of breeze and now down to 32, it's almost bearable!
Just glorious, real azure blue sky, we have a table booked but to be honest, I think we'll just sit in the garden and enjoy...

Dont think there's much need for this post..
26 degree's at 9.15, blue sky, sunshine, no breeze, no cloud... just wonder what the second digit this afternoon will be, no doubt the first will be 3.

Cooler yesterday, as though you'd notice! Topped out at just 32 degree's. Ipma say only 30 today and then back in mid to high 30's for rest of week.
Currently 22, and there is a real haze on the horizon way out to sea, doubt that will trouble us.
In summary... it's very hot.
We think, in all our time and visits out here since 1981, this is  the hottest, sustained, temperatures we've known. Honest, it's hot!

Just been told that the 'haze' out to sea is actually smoke from the fires and that there is another fire now in the Monchique area and they are being started deliberately!
