And it is GLORIOUS in Albufeira today. I'm almost burnt to a crisp. It is a bit windy (from the west).

Great to hear John, the 'glorious' bit that is!
See you Wednesday all being well.

Bright morning here, rather windy and not all that warm, relatively speaking. Temperature at 0830 13C/55F, sea a bit tough. Bright skies, no clouds but expected to be a bit covered later.

Today's high forecast as 24C/75F, will stay dry. Coll again tonight, cloudy and not so warm tomorrow with showers possible Thursday.

It was rather dark and gloomy an hour or so ago, brightening up now. Temperature at 0815 was 14C/58F,  forecast high not so good as yesterday at 20C/69F. There's a light wind from the west. It should stay dry today.
Tonight it will fall to around 13C/56F. Tomorrow and Friday will be cloudy, mainly dry Thursday but with showers quite probable on Friday. Not quite so warm as today.

Update 1100am - tipping it down - can barely see out of the window.

It's very overcast this morning and there are a lot of showers about. There's a light wind from the north-west.

Current temperature 0830am 16C/60F. This will only reach 19 or 20 C today. that's 70F at the most. Expected to remain cloudy more or less all day with a prospect of showers on and off. Tonight down to 13C once more. Tomorrow and Saturday still cloudy and fairly cool but warming up Sunday and early next week.

Another dull and fairly overcast morning here in Albufeira. Not too cold though, at 08.15 I see 16C/60F. There's a light wind from the north-west. There are few isolated blobs of blue on the radar, indicating some showers, but it will I think be mainly dry today but rather cloudy.

Today's high 20C/68F. Tonight we will drop to 12C/64F, staying cloudy. The weekend should be slightly warmer, still fairly cloudy but it looks like being a dry couple of days.

Next week we are in for a spell of unsettled weather with a strong possibility of cool, rainy, days from Thursday onwards.

On the subject of drought, the Algarve is slightly worse off than a few weeks ago, having been raised from severe to extreme drought conditions in the central and eastern areas.

It's not as widespread as the drought of 2005 however.

It's a much brighter morning than of late but still a fair amount of cloud about, some grey and slightly threatening although there are no showers to be seen at the moment. Warmer too, at 9am it was 17C/62F. There's just a little breeze.

Today's high expected to be around 21C/69F and it will be cloudy for the most part.

Tonight down to around 12C/64F. Tomorrow will see less cloud and as a result temperatures could be around the 23C/74F mark. It should stay dry.
