The golf was apparently abandoned completely, they completed only 36 holes.

It's a very grey start to the day. The threat of thunderstorms this afternoon is still posted We are forecast only light showers today. Temperature at 0930am is 18.7C, there is 100% cloud cover, low and grey with no wind to speak of. Later today should see temperatures of around 22C, which is average for the time of year but there could be some heavy and thundery showers.

It won't be very warm tonight, probably down to 14 or 15C. Time to get the duvet out if its bag.

Tomorrow should be dry, but still very cloudy then on Wednesday the showers return but not with nasty thunder and lightning

Rain has been relentless & very heavy here in Acoteias this evening for close on 3 hours - no thunder or lightening though. Still, we did see a glimmer of the sun through a brief gap in the cloud cover for about 10 minutes at lunchtime so I guess that qualifies as one of those 300 days of sunshine Wink
Been here every October for the last 12 years & can't remember weather as bad as this or lasting as long.

It certainly was very wet yesterday evening and into the night but this morning it's much better, although cooler. The air is circulating from the north west bringing cooler but drier weather for the next couple of days. Temperature dipped to 16C last night, now at 1145am it is 18.9C. There is some scattered cloud, quite high and just a little wind. It's not raining nor is it likely to.

Today's high 22C perhaps, cloudy but staying dry. Tonight will be quite cool again, 156 or 17C.

Tomorrow might see the odd shower.  A band of rain is heading for the west of he region but one or two might wander over here. But it ought to be mainly dry, cloudy and a bit warmer. But on Thursday the circulation starts to come once more from the south west, bringing warmer air from the Tropics but more showers and rain with it.

The outlook beyond that is for a fairly quiet week with southerly airstreams of quite warm weather and no rain.

The centre and north of the country is going to be quite stormy over the next two or three days, just along the flightpath if you are coming or going!

Looks like i struck lucky with the weather then, arrived on 26th Sept and the Weather was Glorious more or less right up to the day before i left, the heavens opened up on Thurs 9th Oct making it an ideal day for packing and gift shopping. Fri 10th Oct i left Albufeira and head down the A22 in awful driving conditions towards Faro Airport, the skies looked like something from a Sci-fi Movie, it would have made a cracking picture. needless to say that from what ive been hearing/reading about the weather in the Algarve since returning home looks like i made a Great Escape.

Not been too bad today - plenty of sunshine after a wet start.
It stopped raining by 9am and there hasn't been a drop since.
Not terribly warm though (20ish) but a huge improvement on the last 4 or 5 days and it promises to improve even further by the weekend.

After a very wet and grey start to the day it is brightening up now. Still a lot of low cloud around  though, which is making it feel very damp.  Temperature at 1020am is 20.4C, which will rise to perhaps 22 or 23 later if the sun breaks through a bit more. There some isolated shwoers around to the south and west where the wind is coming fro, so there could be one or two coming here later.

Tonight will see the temperature drop to around 17 or 18C, average for the time of year. Light rain or short showers is the forecast for Thursday and Friday, staying reasonably warm.  The weekend should be dry, with high cloud and temperatures perhaps as high as 27 or 28 in a south easterly airflow.

Warm and damp just about sums it up this morning. It was 20C at 730am, now at coming up to 930 it is 21.4C. It's very cloudy, mostly high cloud though. There is a blue bit just to the east and a grey low cloud to the west.

There's nothing to suggest any rain today except for a few tiny specks out to the west. When the sun appears we should see 24C but it will stay very damp feeling. The humidity thing says 87% at the moment.

It will be warm and damp again tonight, no lower than about 20C, tomorrow will be again cloudy but warm in the southerly air, then Saturday is going to be a clear day, easterly wind and 24 or 25C.

Warm and damp again. In fact it was so humid last night that condensation formed on the top of my duvet. It's out getting some air now.

There's some high cloud around but more blue sky that this time yesterday. Temperature at 0940 is 21.6C, humidity 86%. It will stay cloudy today, top temperature 23 or 24C which is a little above average for the time of year. There's no rain on the radar coming our way.

Tonight will be warm and damp again. Saturday will have a little cloud and temperatures of around 24C, Sunday is expected to be fine and dry with possibly as high as 27C, as the wind will be coming from the east.

The waves were quite high yesterday, so be a little careful if on the beach.

It's rather grey and murky this morning, but still warm and damp.

Temperature at 1010am is 21.4C, humidity 80%. Lots of low cloud, some of it quite dark out to the west.

Rain is not expected today, maximum temperature around 23 or 24C. Tonight will be fairly warm, 19 or 20C, then tomorrow should be very warm for the time of year, up to 27C. It will still be a bit cloudy though. Monday could be warmer still then for the remainder of the week the forecast is currently suggesting ridiculous temperatures of high 20's even up to 32C!! There is a lump of Saharan air coming our way, possibly bringing that red dust with it.

It looks like being a nice day today. There is a little bit of high cloud, nothing to worry about. Temperature at 1025am is a very acceptable 23.2C and it is a lot less humid than it has been over the past few days, 64% on the meter. This afternoon should see a maximum of 27C, well above average for the time of year.

Tonight will be nice and warm, around 19C, and for Monday and Tuesday we are expecting daytime temperatures of around 29 or 30C!

Hot! Temperature at 1045am is 25.9C, expecting up to 29C later. Very hot for the time of year.  There is some thin high cloud just keepng the sun off. Humidity 39%, quite a contrast to last Thursday and Friday.

Last night it was quite windy for a time, which together with yowling cats woke me up at 3am. The wind is dying down now, but will remain for the next day or two coming from the east and bringing hot African air with it. Tomorrow and Wednesday are probably going to be even hotter, with 32C, forecast for Wednesday which is fully 10C above the average for late October. Enjoy it while it lasts.

It certainly is incredibly warm, we were in praia de rocha today, and at 4 o'clock this afternoon the temperature on the chemists sign was showing as 36.0c, it's was almost enough to melt you. Still! It's got to be better than being stuck at home in Blighty.
