Yesterday the cloud hung on until 12.45 and then it was as if some one rolled the carpet back, we have an incredible picture, if I can get it posted I will. Anyway, we were quickly up to high 20's peaking at 29.
Today that pattern is broken, a few clouds about but sunny, warm, 24 degree's at 10.00am, light intermittent breeze, that's more like it. I will be surprised if it doesn't make 30 today.
Portugal News is forecasting 30's for the weekend.

Ray,
You're right on both counts, for you, and John, and everyone, I can at last report, it is now GLORIOUS! - 30 degree's at 2.45 and rising, a clear shusui blue sky, just.. err, glorious and that also means, yep, bostin!

Where you from Ray and when are you out?

Bootifull! Still 31 degrees and gorgeous at quarter to seven at night, just the ticket. Shame to leave the garden for the shower but food beckons!

Am I not liking that?!?!
Currently 24 degrees, sun is there but there is plenty of cloud plus it's windy!
Out of the sun it's quite chilly, in the sun and out of the wind is okay but overall pretty poor for the Algarve in August. Our Portuguese neighbour says June was the best June he can remember where as July, and now August, are the worst with very much below par weather.
Doh!

That's more like it! Lovely morning, 24 degree's at 10.00am, blue skies, a few whispy clouds, no breeze, bostin!
Yesterday only managed 25 as the wind got stronger and stronger as the day went on, thankfully it's cleared off overnight.
Again I'll be surprised if it doesn't break 30 today.

Do you recall a couple of days back I posted about how the overcast cloud dissipated as if someone was rolling the carpet up?
Here's a panorama pic of just that, down at Salgados, it was incredible how it just cleared away, in about 20 minutes, quite something to watch.

Yesterday made a glorious 32, great weather.

Today, all looks good except it's a bit breezy. Clear blue skies, not a cloud in sight, 21 degree's at 8.30am, sun already beating down but I suspect the intermittent, but quite blustery at times, breeze will keep the temp down a bit, likely high 20's later I guess.

That said, I've had worse Monday's!

4.30pm, just west of Albufeira, and currently 32, but feels hotter as the breeze has died off, time for it yet to break yesterdays high.

Yesterday did indeed top out at a quite humid 34.5 degree's at 5.30pm, it was hot!

Today could be hotter. Steady and welcome breeze, not a cloud in sight and the sun is doing what the sun does. Brace yourselves and don't forget the sun cream as the light breeze can easily deceive.

Two words... 'Glorious' and 'Scorchio'!
4.00pm today, 36 degree's, and yes, that's in the shade. Not a breath of wind.
Thank goodness for G & T's, with ice of course. Big smile

Phew, relief! It peaked at 37.5 degree's at 6.00pm, thankfully it's cooling now and at 6.35pm it's down to 37!!! Wink

Thank goodness for G&T as well as A/C, which is currently all on full blast!
