Came back into Portugal today from Spain and the border control was heavily manned by GNR.
We were funneled through the crossing single file where having English registered car I expected a grilling.
But no problem just waved through never even asked to pull into where the foreign cars are supposed to go.

I suppose for air passengers it'll be business as usual at passport control?
It is no coincidence that in no known language does the phrase 'As pretty as an Airport' appear. Douglas Adams

Much tighter security at all border crossings and entry points until Monday.

Tonisdad - you obviously don't look like a threat!

They were stopping vehicles on the roundabout near the Bullring on Wednesday morning. We were on the bus, which was crammed full, and they just let us through
I hate how peopleï compare Frank Zappa to God. I mean, he's cool and great and nice and everything, but he's no Zappa.

So the old soap-on-a-rope being 275km away the following day gives the GNR an excuse to nick people for not having the right bit of paper in Albufeira...
