The new market site yesterday. Wort to level etc still in progress. There are no toilets other than two little cabins tucked away in one corner, so you will have to dash down to the marina.

I bet the prospective owners of the various vast mansions being built nearby are less than best pleased at having this fortnightly event on their doorsteps!

Loks like the first of that group of houses is occupied. More land is being cleared nearby and the old farmhouse has been demolished.

Meanwhile, the little park remains locked and bolted. What a waste!

I saw those on IAD and the artistic impression is far away from the reality , the impression was space and no neighbours , not at all like the actual plots .
That’s a lot of money

The whole plot is about the size of a football pitch. I count nine houses built or being built with room for two or three more. The whole area is going to be building site for years.

Lovely ambience for 1.25 million!

The row of new properties on the other side of the market site is gradually getting bigger.

But nearby, the little park is still locked and starting to be a little overgrown.

Some kind of event going on in the park today. Lots of cars parked outside and families in the park. Can't see any kind of organised events or anything just separate groups of families sitting around.
The camara website, of course has no information. Next week I'm sure they will have pictures of the official opening last Saturday!

Nothing this morning, just looked out of my window. I wonder? Might pop down there tomorrow to see if there is anything.

Lots of Trailers and expensive ingenious looking trucks that convert into rides have arrived  behind the marina, on the site where they hold the market. It's for the Feira Franca which runs from 29/11 till 3/12. It is the first one since covid and like the market has moved to the vacant phase 2 plots.

When those rides and disco music kick off on wednesday night, you'll be really glad you bought your 1.25m€ villa just 25 metres away!

Not to mention ten years of building sites nearby.

Took a walk around on Tuesday. The market wasn't very well populated on account of the New Year's excesses no doubt.  Most of the stalls were for Asian made 'fashion' tat. There was one fruit and veg stall and another one selling tools, batteries, etc like a hardware store.

The little park and playground are still locked up. What a waste. Nearby, the highly expensive townhouses are beginning to be occupied with more slowly being added.

'Windmill Hill' from the Marina

The very des.res up on the ridge to the north.

This new build by the market site seems to have been abandoned.

The row opposite.
