Hi, is there one anywhere?  Like the ones in Sainsbury's etc where you take your coins, stick them in a machine and it gives you paper money, less commission.  Or, do Santander Totta do a similar service you can pay into your bank? I know banks in the UK do.
Thanks!

Why not use them in a supermarket - look for the self service machines, normally you can put a handful (and more) of coins in the payment hopper/slots - no commission to pay then!

I'm sure, if I could be bothered! LOL
Would rather get shot of the lot in one foul swoop.

Traders, particularly the Chinese shops, love small change. I regularly took a months worth to the chinese store just to the left of Vilanova entrance .. they`ll change it and won`t make you buy anything. Lately, I have been giving it to Bookworms ...

I dump all the brown ones in any charity tin I can find. Several small supermarkets have them.
Alternatively you could just chuck them in the bin.

Interesting that Ireland has decided to do away with all that useless shrapnel - 1c & 2c coins.
This follows the same move in Belgium, Finland, Hungary, Denmark, the Netherlands and Sweden.
Portugal next no doubt Wink
I hate how peopleï compare Frank Zappa to God. I mean, he's cool and great and nice and everything, but he's no Zappa.

When my wallet gets full of coins, I realise it's time to go eat out and use shrapnel as part of the tip!

My small change goes to the local shop. I've just bought six rolls that come €1,38 with the odd eight in 1 and 2 cent coins. They need it as well, as not everything is priced ending in .05 or 0.10. 6% VAT doesn't round very easily.

Some airlines will take any small coins you have for their charity collections. BA always seem to ask as do Easyjet.

But if anyone here is giving money away, I will gladly take it off their hands!

I fill up a tin at home with the shrapnel and when it's full I give it to the homeless guy that usually sits along from the Rocamar with the wee dog. However, now that I know Cubsur will take it off my hands I'll give it to him from now on. 😀

In the end I gave it to a girl collecting for a children's charity, together with the wicker basket it was in.  She later came back and gave me back the basket. Bless her! lol
