Really nice day yesterday, sunshine almost all the way. Kent set record
score in a crushing victory over Essex. Camra beer tent well occupied. Not so nice today back in Eastbourne, cloudy early on getting better now.
Yesterday afternoon in Tunbridge Wells. |

That link above went wrong. Here it is again.
http://cubsur51.wordpress.com/2015/07/22/cricket-at-tunbridge-wells-2/ Rare sightings of sun at Tunbridge Wells! Left UK this morning when it was fairly cloudy and only about 17C. Now in Bordeaux where it is 27C and very sunny. There will be odd outbursts of French weather from now on. |

It's actually quite sunny here at the minute which is making me want to come over even more (I'm only used to the sun when I'm in Portugal!) haha

Not at all. Cricket was excellent, Kent won by a record score and vast amounts of ale were consumed in the CAMRA tent at £3,20 a pint no matter which of the many varieties sampled. And there was a sunshine! Not like here in Bordeaux. Bordeaux used to be English, so I can put this here. Yesterday was very humid which culminated in a very heavy downpour in the evening. Cloudy today, not very warm at just 22C, rising to 24C later. |

Weather here in Aquitaine not nice. Cloudy and windy, with just the odd shaft of sunlight breaking through. Showers forecast, max temp only about 23C.
They reckon on a week or so of this. Makes a change from day after day of unbroken hot sunshine I suppose. |

Still, it's stopping my grass from dying while I'm away. |

I hate how peopleï compare Frank Zappa to God. I mean, he's cool and great and nice and everything, but he's no Zappa.

Aquitaine was English once, Lady Eleanor and all that.
Anyway, the weather here yesterday was just like summer in England, grey skies, windy with occasional showers, max temperature 23C. Families stoically sitting on a windswept beach determined to enjoy their holidays. At least the rain helped put out the forest fire that burned 580 hectares (almost 1,500 acres) of woodland in the south-western suburbs of Bordeaux over the weekend. Smoke was blown over the city and ash fell widely. This morning there is more blue sky than clouds. Hooray, but rain forecast for this afternoon. |

It's still an English summer here in Aquitaine. Today we had wind, clouds, rain and a max temperature of 18C!

Most non French tourists here are from Germany it seems. Calais not on their route.
It was a better day here yesterday, windy but mainy sunny, no rain for a change, but not all that warm at 24C. Hotter weather is promised from today until the middle of the week. |

After a couple of fairly decent but windy days and around 27C here in the former English territory of Aquitaine, we had a couple of very noisy but short lived thunderstorms last night. This morning it is back to misty, dull and grey.

A very nice day yesterday, sitting in the sun, listening to the Test Match.
Heavy showers though overnight and today is cloudy and grey. |

Lovely calm, sunny morning this morning with a good forecast and temperatures in the low 20s.
Barbecue tonight to get over last nights defeat in the opening Northern League game which was in front of a bumper crowd. |
