It's Armação de Pêra. You can usually walk all the way from Galé and Salgados.

I shall be in town later and will get a few pix of the Brits roasting themsleves pink on the town beach.

A few taken around 4.30pm today on town beach. The tide must have been pretty high earlier, the sea was still quite rough. Sample below, remainder at https://1drv.ms/f/s!Am0w7qp9HCpqgsRnB64gHfJfzB3h7g

I managed that from an Android device a few years back but I don't know if you can from an iPhone, sorry, but I'd also be interested to hear if anyone can advise otherwise?

Town beach yesterday afternoon, not particularly busy as most people aren't on holiday yet.

Wow, that looks very far out compared to previously. I used to see little kids swimming out before, they would be worn out if they have to swim out that far. Perhaps they will ferry them out by boat if the inflatable is being left out there.

It is a bit far out but that's maybe to deter people from climbing all over it before it is properly ready.

It was quite misty yesterday afternoon so several pictures aren't worth seeing.

Here are a few. The beach was quite busy, it being a public holiday in Portugal. Air temperature was 28ºC.

Gale today, it was much cooler down there than back here, less than 1km in land of that beach it's 6 degree's warmer! Just 25 on the beach, 31 here but, the beach was under cloud and very, very windy, hence the lack of crowds.
Still, the beer went down okay, I've had worse Monday lunchtimes Smile
