Should be gone this afternoon Miranda.

After weeks of sweltering heat I hope you will forgive me for loving every minute...

Where has this come from?
6.30am, heavens opened and it's getting heavier plus we have a power cut, so posting off my phone!
The sky is very grey, it's really closing in and, at the moment, hammering down!

I don't care for it (although the ground does need it) so back to sleep it is, if we can - the rain is very noisy here!!!
See you at O4TR later

Better now. Rain has stopped, it's much brighter, plenty of broken cloud around but not blanket and not grey. No breeze and 22 degree's. IPMA say only 25 later, my prediction is for more than that but only high 20's and for the cloud to break up further and dissipate.
Looking forward it's going to be a bit cooler than past few days until the weekend when it should return to above average temperatures again.

Yes, I came back last night from sunny Sussex by the Sea to be woken at 7am by very heavy rain! It has stopped now and skies are clearing, but there is still a lot of cloud around.

Temperature at 915am is 22.3C, still very damp with humidity showing as 80%.

The band of rain has gone off eastwards. There might be the odd shower or two later, but nothing much to worry about. Maximum temperature 25C today. A light breeze prevailing.

Tonight will stay fairly warm at aroudn 21 or 22C. Tomorrow wll be cloudy but should be dry, 23 or 24C. Thursday sees the return of warmer drier weather, high 20's or low 30's during the day, but colder nights under the clear sky and with the wind from the north.

Turned out nice again! Particularly after that rain storm first thing.
Topped out at 29 with plenty of sun, lovely blue skies even though partly cloudy, nice gentle breeze was most welcome.

ooo errr.. cloudy and much cooler!
Currently 19 degree's, maybe just 24 later, decidedly nippy compared to last two weeks.
Very still, not the slightest of beeze and the early morning dampness is lingering.
Forecast is the same for tomorrow so lets hope for better after that. Still, it's not raining though!

It's warming up now. Temperature outside at 1150am is exactly 23C, mostly blue sky just  a couple of bits of clolud and the very lightest breeze. Forecast for today is 28C later and staying dry.

It will be cold again toight, down to perhaps 16C.

Tomorrow might be a bit more cloudy and only around 26C, Friday similar. The weekend is expected to be a lot warmer, temperatures into the low 30's.

It's suddenly got seriously windy
I hate how peopleï compare Frank Zappa to God. I mean, he's cool and great and nice and everything, but he's no Zappa.

Yes, a very nice start to the day. Temparture at 1040am is 21.6C, sky is blue with some fluffy cumulus clouds around and there's just a very light breeze. Looks like the cloud could build up later, top temperature won't be more than about 26C.

The airflow is from the north, so it's going to be cold at night, down as low as 15C perhaps.

Tomorrow will be nice and sunny and a bit warmer than today, Saturday is still forecast to be 32C.

It seemed to be quite windy this morning, or maybe it was the cabbage and beans I had with my chicken last night. Anyway, at 9am it is a very nice morning. Just one tiny cloud I can see, scudding rapidly across the sky at high level. Down here it's slightly breezy with windows open fore and aft.

Temperature at 9am is 22.1C humidity 60%. There could be some cloud around later, staying dry though with a max of 27C. (the recent heavy rain across much of the country has reduced the fire risk to almost zero.)

It won't be very warm tonight, 16 or 17 near the coast. The weekend looks set fair for temperatures in the low 30's daytime, 20 or 21 at night.

Next week is expected to be similar settled weather, daytimes around 30C, night-times 16 - 18C.
