Been very nice the last couple of days, a little bit of cloud but plenty of sun.
Quite foggy first thing this morning but it's clearing now.
Should be a nice day for October with max temp of 23.
Not looking so good for the days ahead with plenty of rain being forecast.
But like all weather forecasters, IPMA have been known to get it wrong Wink

I am shortly leaving Lisbon to return south. Here yesterday it was 23C, very pleasant indeed.

Forecast for Albufeira today is clouds and 22C, with a light wind from the south.

The weekend is expected to be rather wet. The remnant of a tropical storm is coming our way from the south-west, bringing heavy showers perhaps some thundershowers as well. Temperatures will be no more than 19C daytime, 15C at night.

Actually it's nice here this morning - a few whispy clouds but plenty of blue sky & sun. Absolutely no wind. Temp at 10am is 19 - it was 15 when I got up at 5 this morning.
As Tom has said, the next 5 or 6 days don't look good - heavy rain, thunderstorms and very windy at times.
Looks like The Portugal Masters at Vilamoura is in for an interesting weekend.

They won't be happy golfers this morning! It's very windy, with some strong gusts and now it is raining just a little. The official website says " Due to a bad weather forecast Round 3 will be a Shot Gun format commencing at 8am from all 18 tees. "

Dark clouds are scudding across the sky. That little sub tropical stormette is sitting off the west coast and moving slowly, so we are in for a wet and windy day.

Temperature at 0850am is 21C. humidity 84%.  It's not going to get warmer and the wind will be with us all day.

It will be a warm and damp night as well, no lower than 18 or 19C. The wind will slacken off a bit and Sunday will be a slightly better day but still showery. The Monday forecast is currently indicating all kinds of nasty stuff, with thundery showers and more wind.

Same format at the golf again tomorrow.
Although to be fair the weather really hasn't been that bad today.
A bit windy & one heavy shower for about 15 minutes just after 1pm and that was it.
The sun has even come out a few times.
I've played in a lot worse condiitions than the golfers had to contend with but then again, I'm not a mollycoddled pro Wink

Update 3pm
Well they were all way out with their forecasts of heavy rain, strong winds & thunderstorms all day.
There's been no more rain, the suns out, the wind has dropped & it's quite warm.
As it's turned out they would have been better sticking to the normal format

Portugal Masters shot gun start has been put back until 10.
Course waterlogged after heavy overnight rain.

Certainly did rain heavily last night, on me as I was walking home from the pub.

Sunday morning and it is fairly calm, quite cloudy and I can see some tall cumulus clouds building up to the west. Temperature at 10.10am is 20.1C, it is still feeling very damp with humidity at 86%. It won't be much warmer later with the sun behind cloud.

There are a few showers heading our way from the south-west. Expect them to arrive this afternoon. Monday and Tuesday will also be showery days but thunderstorms are no longer on the agenda.

Ive just got back from Portugal Masters - it stayed dry - sunshine and intermittent cloud but just started raining so good call for shotgun start.
Excellent win for Brit Andy Sullivan - well done

Warm but very wet today. It was raining hard since before dawn, stopped around an hour or so ago but more is on the way. Temperature at 1025 am is 20C, humidity 87%. It's fairly bright overhead, but very dark and rainy looking to the west.

Some showers are on the way, they will be localised, short and sharp but some quite heavy. Maximum temperature 23C.

It will be another damp feeling night but not cold by any means, down to 17C perhaps. Tomorrow is going to be another showery day, but the prospect for Wednesday is better, with mainly clear skies and 23C.

UPDATE 1130 it's been  nasty couple of hours with squally showers, some heavy with a fairly strong wind driving the rain in. Temperature has dropped 2C to 18C. Visibility is poor under dark grey sky.

There is a whole mass of rainy stuff extending 200km to the south, which is where the wind is coming from so it does look like being a rather rainy day. There is a kind of swirl of rainclouds going anti-clockwise, with us more or less in the middle.

The rain should pass over later today. Tomorrow looks like being a bit cloudy but dry with 22C, Thursday a bright sunny day and 23C

Coming out tomorrow for 10 days, and every time I look at the weather forecast it is different. This thread has been invaluable to get the real forecast and daily take on the weather so thankyou. On sunny days are people still braving the sea.

The sea is still 20 degrees and doesn't feel as cold as it often does when the air temperature is 30+.
I last went in on Friday and I was not alone. It was fine and it felt warmer than our pool which I went in later the same day.

As for today the rain seems to be easing just now & the sky is a bit brighter.
Still very windy though.
Two guys from the Camara have just been round here trying to unblock the drains which are full of pine needles - mind you they've been like that for months.
I say trying because the guy who was obviously the dedicated "unblocker" only had a stick & a broom and he didn't look very enthusiastic.
The other guy just sat in the van.
