Well, we are set fair for scorchio!
Zero breeze, zero cloud, 100% blue sky, 100% sunshine and already 22 degrees!
IPMA now say 33 degree's for this afternoon and I can believe it.
Coincidentally, the planes have again been turned this morning and are again going into Faro on an Easterly approach, it seem's that the hottest temperatures are when the wind is in the general direction for them to do that ie, generally from the East/South or somewhere in between. That said, as I reported above, we currently have zero breeze or wind at all here!

Chores done and yes it getting hot. Temperature at 1210pm is 26.2C, the air is very dry and not surpisingly most of the region is on red alert for fires. (The website reports a small fire burning near Lagoa as of now.) https://fogos.pt/ is the place to see where there are problems.
The sky is blue apart from a bank of cloud right out on the horizon. Slight breeze.
Forecast for today is a max of 32C. It will be fairly warm tonight, no lower than about 20C.
More hot days to follow, 29 or 30C daytime, 19 or 20 at night and for at least another week. Those numbers are 6 or 7C more than September averages.

And again, glorious.
22 degree's at 8.30 in the morning, not a cloud to spy, clear beautiful blue sky, sun shining and it's totally breathless, not a drop of breeze, in fact it's stiller than something that's very still!
We also have that Sunday morning hush, everywhere is very quiet, it is truly glorious.
IPMA say 30 later but at the mo it's looking like it will be warmer than yesterday and that was scorchio.
All this in mid September eh? Superb.

Yesterday around 630pm i spotted one of those signs they have outside a farmácia that said 38C. A bit wrong perhaps, but it certainly was hot at Portimonense watching the game.
Today does look like being hotter. Temperature at 1025am is 25.4C, humidity 43%. There is a bit of high misty looking cloud and a bit of a haze on the horizon but otherwise blue skies. There is very little wind.
Forecast high today on the official website says 31C, becoming a bit cloudy later. Tonight it will be around 20C, tomorrow and Tuuesday 27 or 28C, again a bit cloudy.

Well Andrew will be missing another very pleasant day by the looks of it. Temperature at 1030am is 24.3C, humidity at 50%. Blue sky overhead but a lot of high thin cloud out to sea.
Expected high today 27C and a bit cloudier later. Tonight will be a comfortable one again, down to around 20C.
A weak weather front is due our way on Wednesday which will bring slightly lower temperatures. Tomorrow though it will be around 28C.

You must have took the sun home with you - very cloudy this afternoon & only a very weak sun poking through.

I hate how peopleï compare Frank Zappa to God. I mean, he's cool and great and nice and everything, but he's no Zappa.

Wow, just stuck my head out the door this morning and it's as thick as a hedge out there.
Update at 8am - almost all gone now leaving a clear blue sky with a hint of mist. Temperature is currently 21.

Yes there is a bank of fairly thick fog out to sea looking from here across the marina, blue sky overhead. It's quite humid too, meter showing 73%.
Temperature at 0840am is 21.1C. There is again the lightest of wind from the west this time.
Today is expected to be fairly warm, possibly reaching 28C but it will be cloudy. The weather radara show either showers or very thick fog off the coast around Lagos, moving this way. More likely fog, which the sun will soon burn off.
Tonight will be a cool one by recent standards, down to maybe 18C. The next couple of days will be bright and sunny, 26C in the dayime but with nights getting colder, only perhaps 14 or 15C. Those numbers are qabout average for mid to late September

A carbon copy of yesterday. After the fog eventually lifted it has been a lovely sunny & warm morning. However, it clouded over shortly after 1pm and it's rather dull & grey now. Current temperature at 2pm is only 23 Update - clouds all gone by 3 and it was a lovely afternoon & evening. Picture taken at about 10am on Falesia Beach.

Cold this morning up here in Páteo. Temperature at 0945am is 19.2C, sky is blue with a few streaks of high cloud to be seen. A light and fresh breeze is coming from the north.
High today 25C, perhaps becoming rather cloudy later as it did yesterday.
It won't be very warm tonight, down as low as 16C.
There wil be little change up to Saturday, but after that the forecast is saying temperatures will be rising again into the low 30's from Sunday onwards.
