Max temperature here in the uplands of Páteo yesterday was 29.7ºC.  There was a quite a breeze blowing.

This morning is very misty and murky, no sun or sky to be seen at all. Temperature at 0845am is 25.9ºC, humidity up tpo 75% today. It is fairly windy again.

It will stay cloudy and won't be so hot as it has been, 28 perhaps this afternoon. The cloud cover means it will stay fairly warm and humid tonight.

Thursday and and Friday will be hot and sunny again, 29 - 31ºC, down to 17 - 19 at night they say, probably a bit more than that. A very hot weekend (36 - 37) is expected, next week back to only 30 - 32. Those numbers are though 4 or 5ºC above average for the time of year. The IPMA website says the first two weeks of June were the hottest on average ever, with around 1/3rd of weather stations on the mainland recording temperatures or 40ºC or more.

Just reading Toms report and it amazes me how locallised or how quickly the weather can be different. We're about 4km west of Tom and much nearer sea level but there's not a drop of wind here and we do have sun poking through the cloud on and off.
Currently 27 degree's but that's an hour or so after Tom's report so no surprise with that.
Much more bearable than yesterday afternoons blast furnace conditions though.

The winds turned, must have as the planes are going into Faro from the west, yesterday they were going in from the east. It's going to be another very hot day and I'm starting to see a connection.
When the planes go in that way, from the west, it means the wind is from the East or that side of the compass, and they are the hotter days.
IPMA say 33 today and tomorrow, 37 for Saturday!
Today no cloud, very light and intermittent breeze, full sun, it's going to be a cracker of a day.

Yes, indeed. The mist cleared during the afternoon yesterday and temperature rose to 29ºC. The night was pleasant, a bit windy from time to time and at 8am it was 23.2ºC here.

Now, at 0935, it is 25.9ºC, humidity 66%. It'sa  little hazy out to sea, otherwise the sky is blue. There is just a gentle breeze now, variable in direction.

Top temperature today will be aroudn 29 or 30, so not too hot. It may become a little cloudy later. Tonight should again be a pleasant one, temperatures down into the low 20's.

Friday does look as if it's going to be a bit warmer at 32ºC, Saturday hot at 36ºC with the airflow coming mostly from the south and southwest at first, then from the north bringing that hot dry air down from the interior. And the dust, spores and pollen, which my eyes and nose are already feeling!

Otlook for Sunday onwards is for settled weather, not too hot at around 30ºC with a bit of cloud. The night-times should be ok for all, temperatures around 20ºC won't cause sleeping problems.

The IPMA wesbite has updated its heat report for June so far. Maximum daytime temperatures have been 5.8ºC higher than normal for June. On the hottest day, 19th June, the lowest night-time temperature anywhere was 6.6ºC higher than the June average. 80% of the country is now in a state of severe or extreme drought.

Same as really. A beautiful day yesterday, more like July and August and today is set to follow.
Not a cloud to be seen, some light high haze getting burned off, no wind or breeze at all, it's uncannily still, sun is there, up to 24 at mo and IPMA say 33 for later. Can't see any reason to doubt that but they say even hotter tomorrow at 37! Incredible if it happens.

Nice cool night, much less humid as well. Temperature at 8am was only 21.4ºC, lowest it has been for a while. Now, at 1030am, it has zoomed up to 28.6ºC here in Páteo. The breeze has dropped off from earlier, air is now almost still. The sky is a little hazy. IPMA does indeed predict 33ºC later.

Tonight will be cool again, 20 or 21ºC, cooler still perhaps in a few places.

Tomorrow is expected to be mega-hot, 38ºC or 100ºF. Sunday back to cold again, 31ºC and quite cloudy.

Up early for the Rugby. it's going to be hot today, rather hotter than in NZ!

Forecast for today is 35ºC, possibly a bit more.  Temperature  at 0815am is 26.1ªc, low humidity at 46%, so a comfortable feeling. There is layer of thin, high, cloud almost covering the sky, there is a light breeze.

It could stay cloudy for quite a lot of the day, but the wind is from the north so hot, dry, air.

It should be a good night again tonight, temperatures between 22 and 25ºC depending on where you are.

Tomorrow, shock horror, there is a chance of light showers coming down from the north.   A frontal system is crossing the country, the bottom edge will just clip the Algarve. It will be hot rain though, still 31ºC. Monday, slightly cloudy and not quite so hot at 29ºC.

How weird is today’s weather!

It did get very hot, well into the thirties but now it’s totally clouded over and very, very windy but, it’s still 30 degree’s, the wind is so hot!

It ‘s not like anything I’ve experienced before and therefore is almost unnatural, full grey cloud cover, very windy but still so hot. I wonder if it’s bringing anything in, like a tropical storm sort of thing?

It was very windy yesterday afternoon, lots of gusts indeed blowing stuff around. Temperature was around 34ºC.

I woke at 730 this morning to the sound of heavy raindrops splattering against the brickwork. It lasted only a short time, but rain it was. Now at 0820 it is quite cloudy, the sun is just starting to break through. Temperature 26.2ºC, despite that few moments of rain and the cloud,  the humidity is only 46%. The air is almost still.

Forecast for today is 35ºC, but staying fairly cloudy all day. Those gusty winds may well re-appear during the afternoon and evening. There are a lot of low clouds around, a localised shower or two is fairly likely.

Tonight will be a reasonable one again, temperature in the low 20's. Monday and Tuesday won't be so hot as it has been, 28 - 30ºC probably.

That's my last on the spot report for a while. I am off on a European trip, starting with Nottingham and leaving Albufeira to the tourists. Don't forget you can see the weather forecast at http://www.ipma.pt/en/otempo/prev.localidade.hora/index.jsp#Faro&Albufeira

Well, no rain, no wind!
What a glorious day. This moring was 50/50 blue sky/cloud, early afternoon the cloud started to dissipate by 3.30 it had gone, clear blue skies, full sun, no wind, 33 degree's, a cracker of an afternoon and not a bad day at all.
It's gone 7.00pm here and still 30 degree's....., we're loath to give the afternoon up to the evening if you know what we mean, it's still so great to be out by the pool we don't want to get showered and ready for the evenings meal/entertainment yet, we want to enjoy every last minute of it... one of the many reasons we love the Algarve.
