Greece yesterday said they would not be able to pay the FMI so that helped the rate going up a bit more. I just exchanged my holiday money got 1.40 well happy with that :)

Usually depends how much you want to change.
1.3870 this morning at the Gateshead Metrocentre but 1.3900 if changing £1000 or more. [Eurochange]
