1.205 for cash yesterday.
That's 8% more than this time last year. Spend, spend, spend! |

Going down as the big euro-buying season gets underway. People converting £1000 have lost 13 euros in the past week ....

Strange. Got £1000 2 days ago and got a rate of 1.24 with fairfx. It's actually up to just over 1.24 today. And a week ago it was 1.23. Happy enough.

yes ... you get a good deal with these top cards (if they don`t charge a fee) ... however, most tourists don`t use them. Official rate right now 1.2526 ... now 14.5 euros down per £1000 on the peak of two weeks ago. Post Office is giving 1.226 (online) ... that will be less in branches. Tesco is giving 1.231, but not every store has a bank.
Maybe someone will check the rate in Albufeira this weekend ? |

Gone back up today. Perhaps all those people who bought them & forced the rate down last week decided not to go on holiday after all & sold them back |

I hate how peopleï compare Frank Zappa to God. I mean, he's cool and great and nice and everything, but he's no Zappa.
