The two inflatable waterparks have been moored at each end of the main beach. They look different to those that were here last year. I will get a picture or two later.

The two inflatables

and the very busy beach. Still mostly Portuguese, Brits coming later this summer will have to squeeze in here or go down the far end! A few more later when I have sorted them out.

Wandered along Falesia this morning as far as the new Epic Sana Hotel.

Sunbeds with interesting windbreaks - not seen those before

A long view of the cliffs

I hate how peopleï compare Frank Zappa to God. I mean, he's cool and great and nice and everything, but he's no Zappa.

Wide open spaces & lots of people

New steps - the old ones got washed away in November

They have them on Gale beach (except they are green and white).

And finally.
A clear indication of recent cliff erosion.
Until around 2012 there was always a flatish sort of ledge/step all the way along the back of the beach in front of the cliffs.
This ledge was around 2 to 3ft high and a good 10 to 15 yards deep (from beach to foot of cliff).
That is no longer the case.
The first picture shows a small  area where this 2ft ledge remains. However this used to come out away from the cliff base to just about where the tyre marks are.
The second picture was taken 100 yards back towards Golfinho's where the ledge is now some 6 to 8ft high.
A further 100 yards along and the third picture shows that the ledge has completely gone and the cliff face comes straight down onto the beach.
Even with this "extra" depth of beach, last night's high tide, which was only 3.4m versus the highest tides at around 3.9m, had still got right up to the ledge.
