Yes Bob, Praia de Gale stays open all year (Call them on 289 591 636 if you want to double check before setting off). It's the middle one, Galeao, that shuts, in fact it finished last Wednesday and will re-open mid to late February depending on the weather.

The little beach hut with the yellow chairs was all lit up last week at night time. Must check whether still open or not. Maybe check it out Thomas.

It's not open but there are some low level orange lights along that end of the beach, for what purpose I cannot imagine, that make it look like it is.  |

Went down to Falesia this morning. There were about a dozen blokes from the Camara and a couple of tractors & trailers clearing up all the rubbish. Smashing job done!
