We will be in Tavira from 25th Sept for four nights but struggle with longcovid so getting around can be a little difficult. Does anyone know of any matches not to far away from us (with good public transport links) that I could attend while there

There is no midweek football unless one of the two teams playing in the top league gets the short straw and has to play on a Monday night, i.e September 25th. But your luck is out. Farense (Faro) will be away that weekend. Portimonense (Portimão) are scheduled to be at home, but there is no way to get back from there after 2031hrs, which is probably before the game will even start, if it is on Monday. The TV conmpanies have not yet decided when games will be played. There are no Algarve teams in the 2nd and 3rd Divisions, the 4th Division is semi professional and does not normally play midweek. No fixtures are scheduled midweek except 1st Novemeber, which is a holiday here. The Algarve League does not even start until the following weekend.
